Re: Packard Bell Maestro 221W
If I switch the lamp lit connections, the problem still occurs.
The noise is coming from a small capacitor left under to the yellow transformer (222K 1KV).
Can this capacitor be the problem? And the value is 2200pF?

Re: Packard Bell Maestro 221W
Thanks for the help but after replacing all the electrolytic capacitors (include the big 100uF) the problem still occurs. The high pitched noise is still there but only in standby mode.

Packard Bell Maestro 221W
Hello Members of Badcaps,
Recently, I have bought this screen as defective. It is working for about 3 seconds and then it shut off (light keeps burning).
And if I turn the brightness at low, the screen keeps working. I have attached a picture of the two boards.
Any capacitors recommend to replace? There is also a high pitched noise from the power board.
Thanks for the help,
Joris...

MSI KT3 Ultra2
Hello members of badcaps,
A few weeks ago, I got this motherboard for free and it is not booting.
MSI used Rubycon and Teapo caps and a few G-Luxon. The Teapo caps are bulged.
Will this motherboard working again after a recap? And can I use some bigger 1000uf 10v capacitors in stead of 1000uf 6.3v?...

Then I will try to replace the transistor, can I use a ksp2222 as well?...

Re: FSP250-60GEN Fan Voltage Problem
Yeah, I will try that tomorrow. But it is still strange that the fan is not spinning.
I have much resistors here, but I am a bit newby and don't know where I should place a resistor if I want to get the fan working. And also the value of that resistor....

That was a old picture, I already have recapped the CapXon for TEAPO SY series.
The Q90 transistor is a : ksp2222a.
The rest of the PSU is working fine....

FSP250-60GEN Fan Voltage Problem
Hello members of badcaps,
At the moment, I have a problem with this PSU.
The fan port has only 3.4 volts on it, so the 120mm fan would not spin up.
I have a video here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k3eZCXdY8MTtnO3OtQ4
Is this normal? I attached a picture of the fan port too.Hello members of badcaps,

Re: Unknown PSU
There are no more resistors on the back of the heatsink, so yes its probably for the 12v rail. I'm still learning more and more from this useful, great forum.
I will take a look to a second fan, and maybe give it a recap (the cap brands aren't good I think)
Anyway, this PSU have lots of working hours, i'm sure it was at least 5 years old
One more question: wich capacitors do you advise to replace?

Re: Unknown PSU
Thank you for the quick reply
On the big heatsink in the middle are the next chips (from left to right): 40N03GP, STPR1620CT, SB3040PT
The other heatsink has two 13007 chips...

Unknown PSU
Hello All members of badcaps,
I got this PSU with a modded PC, so some parts of the metal case are removed.
I know it is from A Olidata computer. And it had two fans.
The Capacitors are from MK, FULLTEC (some L.ESR series, lol) and Fuhjyyu.
Can someone please give my more information about the wattage, brand, quality etc. ?...

Re: Maxpower PL-300 one of the worst PSU'S ever
Sorry for the very, very late reply.
I put the PSU away, but today I have take a look at it.
I checked the two big capacitors and the values are more than 20% lower.
So, I replaced them for TEAPO capacitors. Now its finally working
But there is still a whining noise.
It could be a capacitor, or a coil.
I haven't recap all the capacitors so can a capacitor making that sound?
I can also post a video if need. Thanks for the help....

Re: Maxpower PL-300 one of the worst PSU'S ever
OK, is is not the worst PSU, but the condition....
I replaced the 2200uF and 470uF caps, also the 5A fuse.
When I turn it on this is what happened
I think there are more problems with this PSU, but im just a beginner and don't know how to fix that. I have a multimeter and a capacitance meter.Re: Maxpower PL-300 one of the worst PSU'S ever
