Hello!

I have a DVR Motherboard which has 2x 1000uF,10v caps which have blown, and i've decided to recap it. So, i called a company which sells capacitors and they said to me that they didn't had 1000uF, 10V capacitors - only 1000uF, 16v caps - to which they told me that the overvoltage of this caps (1000uF,16v) wouldn't be a problem...

What i ask you is: Is this true ? can i put higher voltage caps (with the same farads) on motherboards which have lower rated voltage caps?!? What can happen in short/long term ? - putting it simple: which are the implications of doing...
