Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
The PSU outputs are within good tolerance. Following the troubleshooting guide, the voltages on the main board are within tolerance with the exception of BD104, which should be 12V, but tests at 13.07V. That is the only reading that is too high.

Re: 32 samsung lcd will not turn on just blinks 5 times
I'm having the exact same problems with my LN32B460 (led blinks 5 times, back-light works when the MB is unplugged), but still haven't pinpointed the problem. Maybe this is the service manual you are looking for?

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
I'm still trying to pinpoint the problem and I managed to get service manual for this tv. I do have a question about the troubleshooting manual, it states voltages as A, B, or DDR (e.g. A5V, B12V, DDR1.9V). I'm assuming A is for standby-mode and B for power on, but I'm not sure about DDR. Can someone give me a clue? I've included the applicable pages from the manual.
Thanks....

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
Thanks for everyone's help. I'm thinking it is time to find a replacement main board, which is board # BN97-03466B, and the part # is BN96-11524A.
I'm finding 3 different part #'s for that board #
BN96-11524A
BN96-11524B
BN96-11524C
Does anyone know if I can use the B or C version, or if I need to stick with the A version?

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
Thanks selldor and retiredcaps.
OK I checked the voltage regulators. I assume I need the readings when the screen is on, as some have power only when in standby.
IC601

pin 1 = 0.017
pin 2 = 1.264
pin 3 = 3.28
IC505

pin 1 = 0.631
pin 2 = 1.891
pin 3 = 4.75
IC109

pin 3 = 5.10

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
I didn't catch the typo, but just assumed the CM804. By PS_on do you mean pin 1 on CNM802? That goes up to 1.8V on power attempts, then back down close to 0. There is another ribbon cable connected to the main board beside the one coming from the PS It disappears behind the metal shielding, but I assume it leads to the T-CON board. Disconnecting that cable has no effect on powering up....

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
Sorry I'm a noob at repairing electronics. You mean test each pin on the connector leading to the main board I assume?
There are 3 50v 47uf caps and one 50v 22uf cap on the hot side, is the 22uf one the startup cap (CM808 on the schematic you provided)?
Thanks...

Re: Samsung LN32B460 turns on only after repeated attempts
Thanks for the replies. Now the standby light only blinks a few times after pressing power...it won't turn on after many attempts.
Tom - I get the same response using the power button or the remote.
Duncan - I have posted pics of the back of the PS and main boards. Can you point out which photocouplers and how to test or diagnose if they are the problem?...
