Hi mate, there is no one in my area willing to do this type of work for bios programming for an old laptop. I tried to see if usb port is working by putting a USB stick with flashing lights and it does light up. I don't know if I could use this as a good sign or not. If anyone willing to have alternate views other than doing reprogram of the chip ( as I am not a tech like you all to do by myself).... -

Although this is quite old but I have this as a spare laptop 750jx too and it was working fine until a recent windows update got the bios to quit. Blank screen with just power lights on. I was wondering how did you updated the bios with blank screen? My usb drive on there is not working only DVD writer comes in and out when power is on. Anyone help ?
