  • Thank you soooo much!!! It worked and I'm very happy now
Because all of the articles I found were so complicated, I thought "ahh, it couldn't be this easy" and never tried the bat file.

Every now and then, the bootloop happens again though and I have to repeat the Fn+R thing to be able to boot.
I checked every bios setting and reseted it, but it doesn't help. Guess that I will try to flash an update and if it doesn't work, I will buy a CH341A to directly flash it.

Thank you very much, dear SMDFlea

  • Hello~

I'm studying electrical engineering and am very new to this world. Extremely intrigued though!

I own 2 thinkpads, (one with a broken bios, probably) and another that is more than 10 years old but running smoothly with 13 + fedora
You usually can find me tinkering around with some electronics or at the library learning stuff about electrical engineering.
I like to code and love challenges, so I'm looking forward to see what this place on the internet is ...

  • Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the right place - I'm quite new to this forum.

    I have a thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 6 20KG-S3W819 with S/N PF-1GZ5NQ that is kinda bricked after a BIOS-reset.
When turning it on, there's a bootloop: Black, then Lenovo screen, then it turns off, then black, lenovo and all again.
It doesn't allow me to get into the BIOS, so I guess that it's kinda broken....

I've heard that there's a crisis mode and saw many tutorials, but none of them had exactly what I had. Most of them tell to rename a .fd file to <name of the crisis>.bin,...
