Hey guys, I replaced the same nec 0e907 chip on the Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894.

as a temporary fix, I cleaned the motherboard surface really good, put the chip on, then I put on heat resistance super glue. then added 3 pennies to hold it down so it doesnt pop out. The whole soldering idea was a difficult task unless I had one of those $20,000 infrared machines.

I was going to replace nec 0e907 with a new one. but now my screen doesnt turn on? I dont hear any beeps. hard drive and battery disconnected, used a power plug to test the replacement out.

did I screw something up here?

I ask because, even when you guys install caps, some of you say the problem is not fixed. so I am just getting a clear idea here. well, I know its never too good to turn on something without its pieces...

Is it ok to turn on the laptop without the nec token? Im about to replace the bad cap for Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894.
