Mmmmm did not know that, well I attached the PC via the PC port and a normal PC monitor cable, I used a mini jack to RCA lead to wire the sound card to the two RCA ports marked PC Audio

Well I'm pleased to say after opening it back up and unplugging the cable which runs from the main board to the t-con and cleaning around the t-con (some area I'd previously not cleaned) the problem has been solved with no extra costs incurred
Not sure if it was the dust all over the board of the t-con or the cable possibly been knocked when cleaning it first time round :? but won't lie I'm a happy chappy and its been almost problem free since.

OK mate I'll give it a shot but I think your probably correct with the latter explanation(s) Ill give the LVDS a pull and put it back in, if not I've already priced up both a LVDS & TCON replacement, Ill buy the LVDS first has its the cheapest, if that doesn't solve it then the TCON haha finally the mainboard, even if non of them work I've got the parts and can resell

Yes its set to Default, inside that menu I did notice a EEPROM reset option, as you said corruption of that could be a possibility would a reset be advisable?Leave a comment:

I'll check that out in the morning Tom, I am actually starting to wonder if its just down to it been turned off for so long, its gone on and off now twice but for a good few hours has stayed normal, Ill play if from here for now and see what happens, cheers for the good advice thus far however

Aye its gone red again just now, so you think its definitely the T-Con that needs replacing, and do you think cleaning the LVDS would make any difference at all in not having to replace that part, I've already looked the part up like its £30 which isn't too bad a price to pay I guess

OK well I just googled that info on cleaning, it was just as I thought it would be, same thing I need to used to clean the bluray lens on my PS3 (If you want you can use plain alcohol, on a Q tip, and gently rub the golden contacts on the LVDS cable), typically in my house it seems everything breaks down at the same time :/Leave a comment:

OK cool, well I'll be on all day haha I'm determined to get it back up and fully operational, its got to be cheaper than buying a new television eh.
And @Randtek, if it is to do with the LVDS cable connectors what is the best thing to use to clean them, I don't want to cause more harm than good so opening the back yet again is what I'd like to try and avoid and see if Tom can help with an easier fix firstly but like I said willing to try any fix that avoids me dipping into my pocket haha
