  • Chip ID: winbond 25R128JVSN 2306. It's 128MBit so it's 16MB like you say, I will look for the other one more thoroughly, I didn't take the motherboard fully out yet. I was using ASProgrammer. If I flashed wrong chip, is it still savable?
Edit: You were right, there was another chip on the other side of the motherboard, soldered straiight to the chip I was messing with from the bottom. Chip ID: winbond 25Q256JVEN 2312. Unfortunately It is much closer to the motherboard and needs to be soldered out of the motherboard, can't reach it with clip attachment

  • Thanks for quick reply, I couldn't find any more chips that look like this one on the motherboard. Is there something I can do to turn it on using only this 16MB one?

  • Sorry for last post not being according to the rules, here's what I found: Dell latitude 5340 2in1, ST: HR6RLS3-0001, motherboard: Arches13 213192-1 PPV65$LA, service tag: 33S7FX3, bios chip is winbond 25R128JVSN. Like I said, I tried to reinstall BIOS using CH341a programmer and before it I made a backup, but seems like I made it wrong because laptop doesn't turn on, please advice

  • Hi,
I have a problem with dell latitude 5340, tried to flash locked BIOS but it doesn't work now. After that I tried to put backup I made back on the chip but laptop doesn't turn on at all. I have 0001 version so no master password was working on it before. I also tried to put BIOS versions posted here before but programmer says files are too big, only 16mb works but it's still not turning on. Please advice...
