thank you duncanbest, but i already know where to search the mosfet to buy (farnell, because i'm also buying other parts from it).
my problem is that i dont know to search an equivalent mosfet, i'm worried of take no notice of some parameters or other things in the choice of the mosfet, so i prefer to trust of the advices of more experienced people that can search the right mosfet
hi all!
i'm trying to repair a videocard NVIDIA 8800 GTX.
i must replace the four mosfet near the power plugs on the upper-right of the board.
These are four "Alpha&Omega 4422 BA652P"; this is the datasheet:
@jetadm i've tried but i can't remove R4, too little and even if remove the tin the component doesn't move away :/ is really necessary to test it? i've measured again the resistor after i've tried to remove it and now it reads 129 Kohms
@retiredcaps: all the readings for Q4 are intended to be ohms
@jetadm123: i know, but i couldn't remove the screw only because there wasn't enough space for the screwdriver.
I think the original problem was the well-known problem with the inverter (capacitors-mosfet-fuses) but i was insecure because i didn't notice any flashlight when turn on the monitor. the display was always black as it was off but the led indicator stayed always green. so, i thought that there might be a problem with the power supply...
@rtech: what is the SMPS? where is located in the board? and how can i test...
ok, here are front/back photos of the entire board, front/back of the pfc zone and of the mosfet i removed. i can also provide other detailed photos of other parts of the board if necessary....
Hi to all, I'm Emanuele, from Italy. first of all i want to say i found this forum absolutely amazing
I immediately explain my problem. I was reading in this forum some posts about the Acer AL2416w because i was trying to repair the mine and i was doing some measurements with my DMM on the power supply board to test if it was all ok.
...but because i'm a noob i made the stupid mistake of try to measure the voltage across the pins 2-3 of the K3568. The result was that my ups restarted so i thought that i broke some components.
Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
