Hi - have just come across this site while trying to fix a Dell monitor. I was amazed at the detailed technical help and insight offered by members - one of the best sources of information I have come across on the www.

Am posting this message of introduction as advised in the "welcome" email just received. Have to confess that vintage valve amps are more my area and I have not had a lot of experience with complex PCBs - other than looking for dry joints , bad connections, breaks, visibly burnt components...
