I have changed the changed Tcon board as you mentioned above.

However the problem doesn't seem to be that, I am not sure what I can do here, what else could this be?...

Thanks I have ordered new t con board and will install in....

Have a TV on my bench:
- No picture - but backlight works (i.e. screen has a slight glow and the holes in the rear of the set are lit up white)
- Sound works fine
- TV appears to respond to commands e.g. changing source, turning on/off and volume control.

I have taken back panel off and seen in the center a yellow motherboard (printed on it 17PW16-2) where power connects to it. The internal fuse is fine

Some of the caps look like they have a white glue on them. Is this a leak from overheating?

Should I just replace this board?...
