Hello It turned out like this for me. At the first boot, reset to factory settings. In the second case, reset the security settings to factory defaults....

Hello everyone. I've tried a bunch of different options. Up to filling the FF with the entire EC flash, removing it. Replacing regions. Flashing other people's dumps without a password. And so on. But every time the laptop restores everything as if from the factory. I read that this platform has so-called protection against changing the BIOS. Does anyone know where it gets the information from? It's unlikely that the Multicontroller has enough memory to restore everything. And another question. There is a TPM SLB 9672 chip. What if I remove it and start the laptop? I understand that the processor...

Good day. Thank you for answering. The password is still there. I tried to flash the BIOS separately. It does not give a result. Then I put everything back in place. and flashed both the BIOS and the EC at once. There is definitely a result. It gives me this message. When I try to cancel the recovery and reboot, it still asks and does not let me into the BIOS. After another reboot, it still asks for the password....

Hello everyone. Help me remove the password. I read about similar models and did not find a solution. I tried the same with 845. Nothing happens. It does not even enter the MPM. A full BIOS recovery occurs.HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G11

I have a suspicion that someone has already tried to unlock the laptop. I did not immediately check whether this error was there before all the manipulations. I am attaching the BIOS and EC firmware. Maybe someone who knows will see what is wrong?...

Hello to all masters. Help. I can't solve the problem with Intel Smart Sound Technology OED. I flashed the original BIOS back. It doesn't help. I was able to remove the password only by flashing someone else's unlocked BIOS. Then I returned mine back. Maybe someone has encountered and solved this problem. Please advise.

Thank you very much for your response. But the problem is still not solved. Moreover, now when loading the system it still hangs on the logo every other time. And the BIOS update does not install. At the first boot it gives this message. Is it maybe because of different versions of BIOS and EC firmware? How to fix it?Thank you very much for your response. But the problem is still not solved. Moreover, now when loading...

Good day. Please help me figure this out. I can't defeat this notebook. I've tried a million different combinations. If I understand correctly. I need to break the main BIOS so that the EC is rewritten at the moment of the first turn on. I delete almost all information. It doesn't require a password when logging in. But I can't reset the security settings to factory defaults. Maybe I can somehow delete them from the EC flash drive? Please help me with advice.

Hello everyone. I compared several files attached in this post. And similarly did all this with my dump. It does not ask for a password when entering the BIOS. But I cannot reset them in the security settings. It asks to enter the old password. Tell me what I am doing wrong?
