Re: Buying Caps - Need Assistance
Is there any downside or danger of using the highest ripple current possible?

Re: Panasonic G20 Failure :/
Got the SC board in, replaced it. Perfection!
I got my multimeter in but didnt use it as it came in at same time as SC board. I'm now repairing my SAMSUNG LNT4061FX/XAA LCD television that has 4 bad capacitors.

Buying Caps - Need Assistance
I'm on the digikey website and I've slowly narrowed down the capacitors that I need. The only stat Im not sure about is Ripple Current and impedance.
Here is the order page:
Is the ripple current a capacity? That is, as long as its high enough it should be fine?
Does impedance matter?
This is for replacing the capacitors on my SAMSUNG LNT4061FX/XAA LCD television.
Thanks in advance!...

Re: Panasonic G20 Failure :/
Also ordered the SC board based on the Ops situation, the smoking, and I got impatient, lol. I'm going to try it when it comes in next week. I'll also run the tests as the multimeter should be here well before the SC Board

Re: Panasonic G20 Failure :/
Hi Tom66
I had the same exact issue listed here and followed all of the steps for dianosing that you laid out. Only issue is I don't have a power meter.
That being said all of my results were exactly as Falco21's. One thing that I did notice was that when I disconnectd the SC board and turned it on there was a little puff of smoke that came from the general area of the SC board.
Are the chances that my issue is the SC board as well?
