    Took a long time ,

    with a hair drier I found the problem area was on the main board, not inverter, and yes the area of 16v teapo capacitors

    I took on replacing all 5 16v 330uf capacitors ...

    1x new butane soldering iron / flame thrower to get the capacitors out
    a 30w soldering iron just wont do it.

    My magic tool is a hand pumped Archimedes drill to unblock the holes..
    after hours of trying to push a needle or capacitor leads through while heating/burning.. I thought the board would...

    Hello BadCaps , here is my problem, quite similar to the others in here

    My AL2032WD (D for the additional DVI box) has been slow to start up for
    months, now it finally does not start. No blue light and sometimes the odd click from the speakers?

    I checked the original 18v,4.17A external adapter was producing 18v.

    I opened it up and found the same control board (tobsta posted), but a slightly different inverter board (saquib posted). No obviously bad caps in sight.
