To answer my own question my problem was with the ic700 voltage regulator. That tiny thing was a struggle and it took me three tries to get a replacement soldered in correctly.
I shorted the original with my multimeter probes. The second put out 1.9v when monitor was off but dropped to 1.3v on. Third I cooked soldering in place. 4th finally worked...

This dump helped me get my monitor turned on. Now I have the issue of everything except for the OSD looking garbled. I even get these lines with no signal.
Is it possible that having the wrong firmware (I don't have thunderbolt) is causing this, or is this a problem with something else like the scaler chip?...Leave a comment:
