• Re: Another bad HP 1955 Inverter... probably

    Hi Guys.

I also have an HP1955 which gave problems, replaced the rf9024n transistors(high ferq switch) x4. Screen been running for over a year now with now problems.if you search for previous thread on bad caps where I spoke to Kranshaft and Davmax regarding the repairs and checks. It sounds to me as if could be the 9024n's which are "breaking down" on the starting current!

  • Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)

    Hi Guys.
Just a followup after sevral months, my HP1955 is still on the go. I bought a spare set of 9024's which I will keep spare for just incase something happenes again.

One thing i found strange was the original fuse was a 3amp and the supply shop suggested i repalce with a 2amp cause it had to do with the voltage supply(220V), i installed the fuse about 7 months ago and still running!

Hi Guys. The Screen Went To A Company Called Vr Eletronics Who Are The So Called Benq Repair Agents Locally. Well, Something Tells Me They Aren't To Sharp There. I Just Hope I Can Repair What They Have Messed Up. Is There Anything Else I Can Check?

Let The Truth Be Known!! My Wife Took My Screen To A Repair Shop Whilst I Was Away On Business!! That Explains It All!!!!!!! It Didn't Make Sense Why Some Of The Components Are Different But The Circuits Are The Same! Now I Need To Find A Pair Of Fu9024n's Somewhere Online!! Q805 And Q812 Are Both Fed After The Diodes D801 And D803.

Just sitting here tracing out the board. Question-Shouldn't Q805(2sk2141) be the same as Q812(FU9024N) and shouldn't there be a left and right side inverter which should be the same?

Oooppps. Not Replacing Trannies, Ment Transistors( 2sc5707's)! All Caps Are Being Relpaces With Exactly The Same Spec, But Just A Different Make(hitano) Fuse And Rectifier All Okay. Did The Torch Test And Can See Image On Screen When On.

The one transistor(c3117) is different to the other 3(2sc5707). Very strange!!!!! I at least managed to get all the caps! I am going to replace all the trasistors and caps on the inverter side just to be on the safe side. found a site http://www.bluestar-online.com which sell and ship components @ reseanoble prices. If spend say $40 on repairs compaired to replacing the screen, it worth it. EG- components price converted to Rands - R300-00 . New Hp L1955- +-R3500-R4800!!Re: Dell E172fpb

The ...t to the other

O Well , Cant Seem To Find Any Trannies Locally!! Ebay Doesn't Ship To South Africa. Third World Country With First World Technology!! Will Have To Try From Another Source On The Net. The Board Has Not Been Worked On At All. Bought The Screen New From An Authorized Hp Dealer (came In A Seal Box!) Maybe They Found A Problem And Tried To Rectify In The Facorty Or Poor Design Issues!!

Thanks For The Info. I Opened You Attachment And Notice You Board Is Slightly Different To My Board But The Basic Pricipal And Layout Is The Same. I Find The Picture Quality And Overall Screen On The L1955 Is Better Than The Samsung 203b I Bought. I Have Attached A Pic Of My Board For You To See. I Am Of To Our Local Supply Store To See What Parts They Got!!!...

I own a HP L1955 LCD which also has a problem with the Inverter/Power board. After Opening the back panel, I discovered it has a BenQ Inverter and Controller Boards. Many of the components are the same as what is mentioned in this forum. Thanks for all the useful info guys!
