  • Re: Samsung LN37A450C1D screen "dimming" issue

Thanks tom66. Yes motion is horrible and if I move my head in any way while watching it I can also see the pixel blur even worse. I'll try picking up a new T-con and report on if that fixes it. Thanks!

It's a CMO panel. I've completely disassembled and reassembled the TV down to the panel, so I've tried removing and reseating all connectors multiple times now. The PCB connected directly to the LCD was bowed a bit, so I relieved the strain on that board during reassembly but it didn't seem to make a difference.
I managed to get a photo of some of the pixels in focus. It actually looks like every row is interleaved, and possibly multiple rows are repeated unless the pixels are rectangular.
    Thanks for the he...

  • Samsung LN37A450C1D screen "dimming" issue

I haven't been able to narrow down the source of this issue yet, and it's somewhat hard to describe but I'll do my best.
The TV powers up and works fine for a couple minutes. Then the screen appears to get dimmer. It is NOT the backlight. I've taken the TV apart and viewed the backlight from behind the screen where there are a couple holes that are illuminated and it does not get dimmer. So I've ruled out the inverter and bulbs.
When I look closer at the screen I see when it's normally working all the pixels appear to be lit. When it gets dimmer it appears that only every other...

  • Re: Service manuals available free

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a couple parts, and have a number of boards from broken screen TVs I've picked up too that I'd be willing to sell/trade.

    1. Power supply/inverter board for a 37" Dynex DX-LCD37-09, part is labelled A71G0MUT. I actually only need 1 transformer from it which I haven't been able to find separately, so even if you have one that isn't working right that would help me.
    2. Power supply for a LG 32LC2D. It had a bad cap which I replace, but 3.3V takes awhile to ramp up and so it takes a...

  • Re: Rca L32hd32d

Thanks for the tip. I also found that the voltage at the inductor L3502 powers up to 3.3V and then drops to around 900mV as the op amp must pull the supply down. I removed the op amp at first to see if this would keep the rail from dropping and it did. So I connected all the cables and the screen works fine again with no part populated. So I'm wondering what this part is doing. Does it set a bias voltage on the LCD panel, or some auxillary function for the TCON? I will probably still get a replacement part, but just curious how critical it might...
