Re: Vizio VA370M
Here are some more images of the board layout and the specific connector in question. I found my meter, but unfortunately after moving recently it appears to have not made the trip successfully, so I will be picking up a new one....

Re: Vizio VA370M
This is the connector between the main board and T-con. Don't see it labeled at all. Have to find my meter to see what it is.
The Television turns on, but only shows the Vizio logo, nothing else. No on-screen menu. I have tried connecting multiple sources. Composite, VGA, Cable. Still nothing.
Tried to no avail.
I am going to go look for my meter right now. May need help checking these correctly....

Re: Vizio VA370M
Forgot to mention in image 1279, the back of the main board, to the right of the image there is the backside of one of the header connectors. The top left pin has solder on it that connects it to the pin located below it. Is this normal? It didnt seem normal to me but didn't want to make any changes without asking first.

Re: Vizio VA370M
Okay, so I was finally able to get images of the boards. They are below. As for the capacitors I was able to track down that they are 1000uf 35v. As for the exact specs I was unable to get a clear answer, so if anyone has an exact board please feel free to tell me manufacturer, model, etc....

Re: Vizio VA370M
Ok, so I was able to get some capacitors and get them soldered in place. Now I am able to get the TV to turn on and display the Vizio logo, but it just sits on the logo. I can turn it on or off using the remote or the panel at anytime, but that is it. I see no more bad caps anywhere. What should I check or what pictures should I upload.

I am from the Lima area, I was able to replace the caps and fix the television. Thanks for the offer though!

Vizio VA370M
I have received a Visio VA370M that is in partially working condition. Its symptoms were that it would take a long time to load past the logo and then it would work for awhile before glitching/freezing up and have to be unplugged. Then you would have to wait awhile before it could turn on again. Also audio worked through external speakers but not internal.
The previous owner tracked down two bad caps and removed them, but never got around to replacing them. Then the bad caps got lost along with what model/specs they were. So my question is does anyone know what caps I can use to...

Thanks everyone for your help. I went ahead and ordered 6 of the capacitors that retiredcaps recommended to replace all of them on the board. I will let you all know how it went once I get them swapped out.Re: Westinghouse LVM-37wse Repair

Where in OH are you? I'm in Columbus and have fixed a few capacitor issues in my time. Let me know if you need some help.

Re: Westinghouse LVM-37wse Repair
I have taken a look at the spec sheet for the CapXon KF series here but it doesn't show a cap with the same specs that I have. I am guessing that this is due to the year it was made? Television is 2008ish vs. the spec sheet from 2011. Would the 1000uf 35v in the spec sheet have the same ripple/impedance as mine even though the size is different?Re: Westinghouse LVM-37wse Repair

Westinghouse LVM-37wse Repair
I have a Westinghouse LVM-37wse television that went out after the crazy weather here in Ohio. It will power on (logo light on base lights up) by button or remote, but there is no audio or video.
I opened up the television and have found a single blown cap on the power supply board. It is marked as:
On one side: CapXon 1000uf 35v
Other side: KF 105°C C640 VENT
What is the best way to find an equivalent? I have measured the size and it is approximately 13x20mm, but I have never had to spec a replacement capacitor before.
Thanks...
