• Thank you again Markus1741 took time for unsoldering your chip for me ! I knew that using climbs is not the good idea but I wanted to test with them before to buy more material. Indeed I did two backups of UC6 and forgot to backup the UV9 (big mistakes!).

I read more about ME Clean and I understood the goal of this operation now Probably that they were a corruption in the region...

Have a good evening.Markus1741...

• Hello Markus1741 SMDFlea

It works! Thanks again for bringing the machine back to life. But I'd really like to know how you did it? I've tried all kinds of files and combinations, but to no avail for days. I don't know if this is the right topic to talk about this but as a Software Engineer I'd like to know how you were able to find/generate the right files ? Is it something to do with the "Service tag" or something else? What software or code did you use?

Thank you very much.

PS : I've...

• Thanks SMDFlea for your reply. I guess there is a way to merge this partial bios in my backup (UC 6). I'll look into it. Is the file for EC (1 Latitude_E5x70_Precision_3510_1.34.3 -- 2 Embedded Controller vA.24.bin) also partial according to you?SMDFleaThanks SMDFlea...

• Furthermore, I managed to decompile the latest version of the BIOS found at DELL (Latitude_E5x70_Precision_3510_1.34.3.exe) and the :
“1 Latitude_E5x70_Precision_3510_1.34.3 -- 1 System BIOS with BIOS Guard v1.34.3.bin” and ‘1 Latitude_E5x70_Precision_3510_1.34.3 -- 2 Embedded Controller vA.24.bin'. I thought I could flash my two chips with these files but the size of the file “1 Latitude_E5x70_Precision_3510_1.34.3 -- 1 System BIOS with BIOS Guard v1.34.3.bin” is only 9 MB. And when I flashed with this file nothing happened on the machine. I am lost....

Unfortunately I didn't save UV9

But I did save UC5. I can share them but what's the point of sharing them? ThanksSMDFleaThank you for your response SMDFlea

• Hello everyone,

I've been trying for several days to repair a friend's DELL E5570, which has broken down after an interrupted update due to a charger issue. The symptoms are as follows: the machine turns on, but there's no DELL logo and the screen remains hopelessly black.
I bought a CH341A to try to upgrade the UC5 and UV9 chips, but without success. I tested a lot of files found on the web without really knowing what I was doing and I made a mistake, because I flashed the UV9 chip without having made a backup first... And every file I find on the Internet entitled EC seems...
