can be liquid damage of TCON board/or motherboard. but you cannot remove LCD without damage. what left? use WD-40, sometimes it helps
ps. wd-40 can make stain on screen. be aware

here is analysis of SUBJ issue: (need testing, pls contribute)
1. M1 can turn off image creation if spi_tcon_clk_conn is not ground (this is why seller's flex shorted)
2. such way if screen lcd has some (!!temporary) failure (mainly lcd <->tcon connection problems/ short) then M1 senses it and stops sending imagd to LCD even backlight exists
3. on earlier T2 after glitch LCD was recoveryng automatically (continue to show image), on M1 - no more, :-(
so solution is to make some button which shorts spi_tcon_clk_conn to ground and try to...Leave a comment:

my fault about apple's flex - spi_tcon_clk_conn has infinite resistance to ground
but on seller-s flex -it is clearly shorted to ground. it is 4-th pin from left. =pin 28 and pin 30 both beeps on seller's flex, pin30 only beeps on apple's flex

found seller's flex has spi_tcon_clk_conn shorted to ground, on JP600 side. apple's flex has 4,5Om same pin to ground, flex disconnected
it is like not flex, it likes has some parts inside

yes, I got flex and it show image, but the problem is lcd heating up to 100 celsius at 1 point, I dont risk to finish repair because it will damage MB soon, so I opened dispute too, dont know how about Ali accept my issue or not

*** may be lcd does not start because apple detects at TCON board something wrong, and seller short-circuited (as they say) some pins of flex, and this short-circuit disables apple's checking, IMHO...Leave a comment:

a2442 820-02098 usb-c begin charge only after reboot, until first disconnect
briefly, one usb-c port, when connect when OS running, or in recovery mode, stays on 5v and 000 amp. If I reboot ( or connect usb-c on shutdown state), it makes 20v andbegins charging, until first disconnect/connect.
*** on shutdown state, it makes 20v, charging stops after 4-6 seconds in rare case,, sometimes never stops. If not disconnect, it stay on 20v and charges even after OS boot. after disconnect/connect (ON state) it always stays 5v 000 amp
it is not software issue, it happens only 1 port. other ports including magsafe3 is ok

yes - SEVEN PUPPY was good but now disappointed. why they switch store? because they have problems and dont want to risk reputation of old well known brand. what problem they may have? can be our lcd-s? sold many and got many unhappy customers? btw they no more sell our lcd alone for today
