Re: 50inch Vizio No Picture No Sound
Here is a pic of the connection on the power board and the connection on the X sus from the power board. What kind of labels are you talking about that you would like to know, the part number or is it something else?

Re: 50inch Vizio No Picture No Sound
Yes, I can do that but it will be later this evening before I can get them uploaded. Does it matter if its they Y or Z sus? Do you need pics of the power connecter plugged in and unplugged?

Re: 50inch Vizio No Picture No Sound
Here are a few pics of the boards. On the X board the arrow shows what cap i replaced as it was blown. I must confess this was my first ever cap replacement, so is it possible to fry the board if i soldered it wrong. The square is around the only heat shield that was warm once the tv was plugged in for 10 minutes than turned off....

No, there isn't any glow when the tv is on.
I will take a few pics when I get home tonight and get them uploaded on here.

Re: 50inch Vizio No Picture No Sound
After reading a few threads, I have done some more investigation. I plugged the tv in for about 10 min and let it stay on. Then I unplugged it, took the back off and felt the heat shield things to see if they were hot. The bottom one on the Z sus board was the only one that was warm, all others were cold to the touch. Does the power have to cycle through the Z sus before it gets to Y sus and buffers?

50inch Vizio No Picture No Sound
Noob to the site, this is my first post. I have read a few threads but haven't found anything for my exact problem. I have a 50" vizio plasma tv and here are my problems: No Sound, No Picture, When plugged in it has an orange standby light lit on the front and if I push the power button the light will turn to green and click but thats it. I took the back of the tv off and noticed I had a blown cap on the Z sus board. I have replaced that blown cap with a new one, and tv still wont work. I'm open to any suggestions on the next step. Thanks!
