Hello,
My apologies, I have now read the beginners guide. Please find info below and pictures, I hope they help.
Dell G7 17 7700
Problem: laptop was being used and working fine, when there was a small 'click' sound heard and the display went off. Laptop still powered etc just black display. Works fine when connected to external monitor. We shone a torch on the screen at this point and can see the faint display working, so we suspect the display back light is the issue.
Also, the caps lock and num lock keys are illuminated at all times. ...Leave a comment:
