I was able to bring my set back to life by removing the C7558 capacitor and replacing it with a small jumper wire. This capacitor is on the backside of the inverter board (green side). It is located about an inch below the BD9883 chip. It is an extremely small, surface mount component. This keeps the inverter controller chip from getting the backlight error signal that shuts down the power board and initiates the annoying flashing green power LED issue.
