The computer is turning off and on without pressing the power button with battery in and with it removed does this like 5x plus then went off. I unplugged cord and plug back in starts going on off on offf on offf fan spins for a few sec voltage at part is 19.53v dc when it's on I see it drop to 19.22v off and plugged in reads 19.53v its turned off and on 12x plus, Then i pulled the power plug note lcd screen is disconnected ,and i removed the hard drive the ram is installed when it first started doing this id hear the hard drive spin up then turn off to prevent damage i removed the hard driv...

The part looks like its beige or white rt side as pictured you see it blew out on the right side note your picture on the left side that 3r3 then 2 black objects 8 pins each then 3rd rectangle looks like its brown on your picture it's right above silk screen pr11...

The part on the bottom of the circuit board to the right of the battery terminals right most very close you will see a 3r3 coil under that are 2 black mosfets side by side then the 3rd big brown smd ceramic capacitor not the other 2 small ceramic caps directly above its the bigger brown smd cap just above pr11 is what I need specs for, It blew open need to know the values its not on my dell 1501 schematic, forum wont let me post a picture please look at top of this thread for picture...

Re: Westinghouse lvm-37w1 turns off more then once
Ok It's reading on the top connector 12.28v 12volts printed on board 5.04vsb 5v printed on board 4th connector is reading 18.52v last connector 264v update these readings are yesterday's printed on board is 120v 3 pins I get 264 tv on properly when it shuts off by itself im reading .90 on the 5v supply pin and 5.04 on the vsb turn off set turn on I get 5.04 on both pvsb and where it's printed 5v on board it turned off a cupple of times tonight....

Westinghouse lvm-37w1 turns off more then once
On sat and weeks before that the set kept turning off screen black blue light illuminated did this 35 times+ I wait 20 seconds to turn back on with remote and it turns off again in 7-10 minutes, I turn it on 10 times or more till it stays on. I removed the metal cage around power supply ran the set today took meter readings I get 12.28vdc top left connector stby 5.04vdc, 0.46 psnd, other connector 18.52vdc and on the last connector on the left side 120v connector I get 264v ac. Set did not turn off at all today with metal cage removed. What could be going bad on the board none of the caps are...Last edited by electro1; 09-08-2013, 02:57 AM.

Re: avcom psa 35
220pf z5u capacitor can it be 50v or does it have to be 100v can I go up in voltage say 500v 1kv, 3kv whats a good temp rating.Last edited by electro1; 08-07-2012, 03:56 AM.

Re: avcom psa 35
The ceramic resistor the one on the diode on the flyback board 220pf z5u what is the voltage rating? Before I removed that tantlum I tested it with the esr tester it said .24 ohms in circuit after I removed it from the circuit it still read in circuit .24 ohms I thought at first the tester killed the 4.7 uf cap or the circuit was affecting reading cause it read 4.2 on multimeter and i did not know if it was a resistor or cap now I know it probably was on its way out the 4.7 tantlum has a + on the right most pin. The other 4.7 cap is reading 5.0 on 200 resistance...Last edited by electro1; 08-01-2012, 03:59 AM.

Re: avcom psa 35
I looked at the schematic u4 pin 3 looks like its going to the polyester .47k 250v is this correct 47k means 47,000 and 250v means voltage rating ? Cap on schematic U3 is the mylar cap to pin 3 also cap lead on pin 3 is bigger. When replacing you said use the flr series electroytic cap and not to use the tantlum. I did mark the board where the white stripe is, these 4.7 tantlum are they pico, uf, nf at 35v? On the flyback board that 220pf z5 cap soldered on top of diode is connected via circuit trace pin 2 of the 7915 so its shorting out causing the input voltage...Last edited by electro1; 07-31-2012, 05:44 PM.

Re: avcom psa 35
I tested one of those red components has 2 leads its mounted vertically says 4.7 + 35 also has a long white stripe going up vertically is this a capacitor or resistor the part is on top of the ic to see it better I tested it showed infinity on meter tested again 000 on meter that tells me it's shorted also is that big green retangle on the right side a capacitor or resistor ? thank you...Last edited by electro1; 07-31-2012, 05:01 AM.

Re: avcom psa 35
Yes the resistor on top of the diode in post 26 ok im gonna unsolder one side of that resistor there are 4 red tantumson sweep board im checking to see if any of em are shorted. The 4 diodes are all reading 0.61v -0.62v forward voltage and 4.60ma test voltage. With my mutimeter its reading 0.61-0.62 one way only so they seem good to me. There is a colored sandwich green vilot black 2 lead componet it has a white dot on it and attached is a picture its at the bottom rt side next to white Potentiometer what is this and how do you figure out if its good....Last edited by electro1; 07-31-2012, 12:26 AM.
