This is my very first TV repair so I`m still learning about what CAPS are good and whats junk. This site is a god sent. I`ll do my research on good caps and I`ll just get rid of the CAPS I soldered in and replace them with new ones. Now I`m on the look out for any flat screens on craigslist since I know what to look for.

Hello All! I`m new to the Site. After 2 hours of research on this site and watching some videos on YouTube, I was able to fix this Polaroid flm-373b that my neighbor threw away. It was around 7pm I came home from my wife's friends birthday party and I noticed that my neighbor put out a real nice Flat screen tv out for the trash. I asked him what was wrong with it he said that theirs a whining sound coming from the speakers and it just shuts off so I said I`ll take it. So I got it to my work bench and plugged it in and sure enough the whining high pitch was there and then it shut off. So I Google...
