Hi Norcal715. I love your you tube tv repair videos. I received an Sony KDS-70XBR2 as a freebie with the green picture. Found a donor set on CL and followed your videos. Sold it for $400. Awesome. I have since fixed another and made a test jig out of my donor set. Really enjoy fixing tvs. One question. some times when in service mode on Sony XBR1, the qm screen shows up but the patterns do not display. Cant figure out why. I got it at first but now for some reason once in service mode and cannt get test patterns.

Do you have any ideas?

I am a Tech and have replaced many of these boards under Vizio Warranty and all of the new boards have a sticker that says "u18 update" if that helps anyone out. Also just for info, LG (lucky Goldstar) the new 42 and 47 LV4400 series have the same Amtran boards and as well are having eeprom failures and LG will sell you just the new eeprom instead of replacing the whole board.
