afudos is giving me error 46 so I tried using winflash from asus and it worked but it still wants the password :-(
I'm not sure that winflash can do the same thing as afu
Afuwin throws driver error
As soon as I solve the afu problems I will let you know anyway thanks for the help so far :-)

I tried:
bios upgrade - I admit this was naive


resetting the bios by removing the CMOS battery - didn't work
rescue passwords generated by biosbug don't work for me either

using AMIDecryptor didn't help either :-(

The seller doesn't remember the password either unfortunately.

Backup.rom was created via FreeDOS in AFUDOS.

I was a bit puzzled...
