Is it true that on his HP model there are 2 chips for BIOS ?
What is the mecanism of these chips ?
I flashed only one and my laptop does not start anymore. Someone says to me that if the other chip is not similar to the patched one, it will not start... False or right ?

It's a long story described here : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-laptops-tablets-and-mobile-devices/bios-requests-only/3325286-flashing-hp-elitebook-x360-1030-g2-with-ezp2023
The BIOS image was provided by an admin of the forum and the laptop was running well before I removed/flashed/replace the chip...https://It's a long story described ...-ezp2023

HP Elitebook x360 1030 g2 flashed but not booting
I have finaly bought a T48 programmer and I succeeded in flashing my chip.
I put it back on the motherboard but now the laptop is not starting and the power is blinking orange/white with a lock on the keyboard blinking white also.
I have removed battery but same error.
Do you have any clue ?
Thank you for your help

I have finally bought new chips.
But when I write the BIOS file on both chip (original one or new one), it says nothing particular but when I run verify process :

And when I try to read again the chip, it says it's empty !!I have finally bought new chips.

I have just ordered new chips to write your bin on.

By the way, I tried again with CH341A and As Programer and this time it was able to read it but everything's blank...
What can be tested ? Could you provide me a bin compliant with the caracteristics of my laptop ?

Well, I tried again on EZP and it read the chip but says it is empty.
If it's really the case, what can I do ?

Why should I modify the voltage of the CH341A, my chip is a 3,3v and should support natively the CH341A isn't it ?...

I am sorry but I am not able to do the soldering you describle roughly. I don't uderstand why CH341A would be better than EZP or XGPRO, XGECU.
I am beginning to admit that my laptop is now dead. Do you have another hopeful idea ?...

How to be sure it is dead ? CH341 does not see it but EZP2023+ sees it but wrongly...
If I buy a new one, what bin will I flash on it, I don't have backup ?
On the official HP site, the BIOS bin corresponding to my SN is only 9Mo instead of the 16Mo of the chip ... what does it mean ?...

I was using Opera, I've just installed Firefox but same result.
If you're tlaking bout this link : https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/guide-how-to-use-a-ch341a-spi-programmer-flasher-with-pictures/33041 I am not in this situation.
I had a soldered chip that I took off from the motherboard, so I can't use the clip. I'm just asking how to put my chip in the adapter (the black side up or down) ?https://I was using Opera, I've just...es/33041...

The guide has no images (all missing) so it's not helping very much :-(...

I am using Neoprogrammer 2.2.0.10 with no voltage adapter.
My question is how should the chip adapter should be plugged in the CH341A (I think in the lower part but what position ?).
Same question for the chip on the adapter : should it be with the black side upper or lower ?...

I will but with the EZP2023+, is my adapter's correct (see attached picture) ?
In what position should the chip be in the adapter (there 4 possible positions) ?...

I will follow your advice and order a CH341A with 1.8 adapter. What are the alternative software and where can they be found ?
I have tried so many combinations that I don't even know if my chip is still good. If not, am I condamned ?...

I am using EZP2023+ with voltage adapter.
If the chip is blank, is it possible to flash it with a bin file ? Is it possible to buy a new chip and flash it with a bin provided by someone on this forum ?
The trick is that I don't have access neither to Windows ......
