Update : W25R512NW is 1.8v chip and W25R512JV is 3.2v. I've bought an 1.8v adapter to use on my XGecu T48 (https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0DZXZYDMC/). With the adapter the content is no more full of 00 but on five read i've five differents dumps... bad luck. I Think i've to buy a new programmer. What kind of programmer is able to read this W25R512NW chip ?https://Update : W25R512NW is 1.8v c...ive differents

Hello,
I am trying to unlock a Latitude 5450 with my programmer XGecu T48. A recent update should normally allow it to handle the W25R512JV chips (the chip on this laptop is a W25R215NWEQ).
Unfortunately, my programmer doesn't recognize the chip, and when I dump it, the content is made up entirely of 00.
Should I desolder the chip from the motherboard?
I have already unlocked a 5420 and a Vostro 5301 with my T48 without having to desolder the chips.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

You have to dump your bios, patch it, and reprogram the chip....
