• Re: Phillips 52PFL5704D/F7

If your power supply is clicking on and off, first test your power supply by itself using the PON and Ground. This unit is nice because it will list the current draw on the board for each voltage for load testing. If power supply is good, you main board is most likely bad. There are a few surface mount diodes that need to be checked, if your problem is more then just the diode being bad I would recommend just finding a good used main board, time required to repair is much more then the cost of the board.

After getting the main board, leave...

If you don't want to wait, call Pacific Illumination they might be able to make them for you. I used another company years ago before LEDs were installed in LCD units, but I can't remember the name.

Send them a email at pacificillumination@gmail.com, since this will be a order they might send you to MCM. You will probably have to install your harness to the strip. MCM only sells 12vdc units, didn't see any 24vdc. They are geared to primarily casinos.Re: Burned led on this LG50LN5100<br...you don't want

So, where is this edit button that is suppose to be here? Why can't I just add a file without having to post a reply?

This is the service manual for the following units with schematic and board layout

    42” 42PFL5704D/F7
    47” 47PFL5704D/F7
    52” 52PFL5704D/F7...

you can just use a digital meter on diode check and it will light up the led if it is good.

Does anyone have the schematic for the main board 312124001523?

  • Re: Isolation Transformer

That will work, but if you want to invest a bit more I would get the Sencore PR570. It does a lot more then just a isolation transformer.

The main reason I like this unit is because you can set the trip current, check leakage.

  • Re: Forcing on Power Supply with PS_ON

I am not sure it is a primary problem. Primary should be very easy to troubleshoot. The ps is seeing a problem, you disconnected everything except the main. Leave the main board disconnected and turn on by ps on and ground.

If you are using the ground off the main cap on the primary side you will never see the correct secondary voltage, that is the ground for the primary side only. Use another ground point, that is on the secondary side.

Drawings are a thing of the past, most companies don't provide ...

Power supply tested good, replaced the main board since it was only 13.00 and I didn't feel like troubleshooting the board. Unit works fine now. There seems to be two different units with the same model number. Mine has the PS, Main, Tcom, x and y board. The other seems to have the x&y on the same board.

Digikey has live chat to help with crossing parts, and they are one of the best supply houses. I didn't look them up, but if they are a decent house it should be alright.

  • Re: Samsung pn51e450a1f no video

I have just started working on one, seems that board is like mine, but not sure about the power supply BN44-00509B and main board BN94-06039B.

If you have the same unit as me, then look at the power supply that feeds the main board, remove the cable from the main board side. If you have a meter with small probes you can read it on the connector area that doesn't have a connector right next to the output from the power supply. If not try and find some small wire (I use old capacitor leads that fit and doesn't expand the pin) that you...

  • Re: CapAnalyzer 88A EDS review?

The best unit made is a LC 103 that was made by sencore. its no longer manufactured.

I have used the capacitor wizard and the cap analyzer, both are good units. Nothing is perfect even the LC103 which is my main unit. There is also one is made by you that uses a pic chip. I have not made this unit but its good for someone startiing out.

Its a good unit to have as test equipment that is quick and fast, but not 100 percent accurate. You will in time learn which will lead to false reading.

    Re: CCFL test circuit?

    Why reinvent the wheel?

You have a built in tester with any inverter. You have your Vcc and switched voltage. You can use one power supply or two, I prefer to use two, if you want to use one, just use a resistor to drop the voltage to the required amount.

I use a dummy load for lamps, I can run 8 lamps of any size. 50k ohm 10 watt 7 each per lamp in series, tap off what you need to keep a balanced load.

Inverters use a circuit called a royer oscillator to monitor the load, any imbalance load.

    Lamps...
