Re: Toshiba 32AV502RZ
The 8 legged creature looks ok to me, must be a shadow in the picture. I probed the tvs1 as indicated in your picture it reads 0.6 steady when I hold the probes on it.
Thanks

Toshiba 32AV502RZ
Hi all, last week I jumped into a thread I thought was for my TV model but it turns out the board in question was a different part number. I was asked to provide the pictures of my board in my own thread so here goes.
My TV will not turn on, when I push power button or use remote nothing happens, no error code no blinking lights. I took the back cover off and found the main fuse had blown, tried replacing it and as soon as I plugged it back in the new fuse blew again. Following the previous thread I tested the bridge rectifier and it did not pass the test. Using a multimeter on...

Re: Toshiba 32AV502U fuse blows
I did try and test those other points as well but my board is different than the one shown. It is a Chicony CPB09-012A - N144R001L - Rev:01

Re: Toshiba 32AV502U fuse blows
thanks very much for the quick reply. i checked them again and I have a OHM reading with the leads in both positions on the 3rd and 4th contact points. I can therefore assume that this part is defective? Would that be enough to cause the fuse to blow or should I keep looking for other problems. Can I just order a new one of these and solder it on? Have attached a pic to make sure I'm even looking at the right part lol....

Re: Toshiba 32AV502U fuse blows
Sorry to piggy back here but I found this thread as I am having the same problem with my toshiba 32av502rz tv. I have followed the steps and a YouTube video. Of testing my bridge rectifier. Points 1and2 only have a reading on the ohm meter with the leads one way. When leads switch points there is no reading. Points three and four have a reading both ways the leads are connected. Does this mean the bridge rectifier is no good? Would that cause the main fuse to blow? Can it be replaced? Sorry for all the questions but this site really is amazing!!!
