Asus X541NA power issue
I also working on this board with same power issue... I'm sure and i found short, i just can't locate the short, the only part that getting very hot is the processor, is this mean's that the processor is shorted? i check the surrounding passive components around the processor and memory specially the capacitors they are short everyone of them. I really suspect the processor because it getting very hot once i put the power power adapter. see the attach picture, all voltage line (red) normal i think... except those in 0 volts. yellow color circles are shorted...Last edited by benja1475; 02-12-2021, 04:29 AM.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR747 Protect Mode
Any explanation for this kind of problem... any input is very much appropriated. This is not a convincing fix.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR747 Protect Mode
update on this problem... the +22vdc at the output of SR channel is gone, and the amplifier not power up. But I'm not satisfied with this fix, Let me share to you the history of this amplifier, the first problem of this amplifier is... it power up and stay at NG:C error code display. meaning Center Channel is no good. I reset the amp. and run the amp diagnostic again aand still NG:C is present. disconnect all the speakers and input cables and run diagnostic again still NG:C error. So I open it and check the center channel i found one resistor with...Last edited by benja1475; 08-12-2020, 03:46 AM.

Onkyo TX-NR747 Protect Mode
Hello... I have onkyo tx-nr747 that won't turn on, protection circuit kick in, I check the unit for possible shorted components at the output of the amp, but so far none. But I can measure 22vdc at one of the channel output (SR, please see the attach circuit diagram page 40) in NH terminal 22vdc is present in both ID+ and ID- reference to ground. The rest of the channel those terminals is no voltage. any help is very much appreciated, thank you...

Re: Acer V5-139P 3D3v_PWR Shorted to ground
No water damage, I did not try voltage injection yet. mcplslg123... yes pin 8 of bios is also shorted to ground. I suspect the bios IC and remove it, still shorted. My last effort to do now is doing the voltage injection to see which parts get warm...

Acer V5-132P 3D3v_PWR Shorted to ground
I'm troubleshooting a laptop motherboard Acer V5-139P, 3D3V_PWR is shorted to ground, at first I thought PT4101 or PU4104 is short I remove those two parts but still got 3D3V_PWR shorted to ground, I remove the coil PL4101 to check some shorted pads, but nothing. It seems the short is after PL4101, I check PU4101, 3.3v and 5v are present. It seems a dead end to meI will not jump to a conclusion for a shorted CPU. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you very much....

Re: YAMAHA RX-V775 Strange Problem
Thank you for your reply, I decided to open the unit because I notice some trace of mice urine in the AVR top cover... unfortunately some of it went through the air vent and to digital board, IC83, IC921 and it's surrounding components are wet, not much but i think its enough to cause some problem. I clean it with denatured alcohol and after blow drying for several minutes... after an hour i test the unit, its thesame.

YAMAHA RX-V775 Strange Problem
Hi... Good day to all and Happy New Year... I have a Yamaha RX-V775 and I have some strange problem, I update it to the latest version (1.93) via Internet. I notice some strange behavior with my unit after the update. First, I notice that the unit will not remember his last mode (e.g. if you turn off the AVR while in radio mode, by the time you turn it ON again will display that he is in radio mode) but now it won't, it will always be in TV mode. Second, it will cycle Tone Control Setting (bass, trebble) by it's own, and sometimes sound is cut-off (no sound) but the unit is still ON and it's not...Last edited by benja1475; 01-08-2018, 11:02 PM.

Re: AOC LM725 screen goes blank
this is what I'm wondering... why TT2190 is being use as a driver by the other transformer while the c5706 is capable of doing the job...
