The guy is selling for $75 but I might be able to talk him down since nobody's shown any interest besides me. I'd be willing to put maybe around $100 into it, as long as that's a longterm fix.

This guy is selling his Sony Model KDL-46V3000 because of image issues. I'm wondering if anybody can give me some advice on whether or not this tv can be fixed within reason and if I should snap it up or stay far away. "Sound is good, screen can display picture, but part of it is broken as show in the photo, the left 1/3 is good, the middle is a bit red, the right side has vertical lines"
What I want to know: Is it a simple fix, or will it require a new panel?
