Hello everybody, i am diagnosing a hp omen 15-dh0007ng motherboard with no power. After a bit messuring I found out that the 3v rail is missing. Looking after that I found a short on a cap on an step down regulator ic. After removing the cap the short was still there. I also removed the ic looking if maybe this is internally shorted. The short remained still there. After that I tried to inject voltage 3.0v on the 3v rail and I found through thermal camera the super iO chip heating up. It had a current draw of about 0.7A.
