Re: Samsung LNT3232HX-XAA
Was that the 10v 2200uF ones that failed on em? I had a job where we had 15 of those units fail at a hotel.. Had to go from room to room repairing them.. Took me almost the entire day having to setup my work table, equipment, etc then re-pack everything to go to the next room.

Re: Vizio P42HDTV10A power issue
Yea it brings the backlight up on the panel right away along with the y-sus, z-sus, etc. Just no on screen display or functions.

Re: Vizio P42HDTV10A power issue
Yea basically in auto mode no inputs show up.. I'm thinking its the main board but I see no mention of the auto/normal switch in either a LG or Vizio service manuals.

Vizio P42HDTV10A power issue
Got a Vizio P42HDTV10A that stumping me. Basically it has no vs or va voltages. It does have the 5v standby and the orange standby light. When its plugged in initially, it'll click a relay once. At that point there is no va or vs voltages. Unplugged the cables to the Y-sus and Z-sus with similar results no vs or va voltage. The SMPS has a auto/normal switch, if its in the auto mode, the panel does light up and produces voltages @ Y-sus & Z-sus. Thinking either its a main board issue or a control board but not sure if there's a way to check to see if its the main. Was hoping there was a way...

P42HDTV10A power issue
Working on a Vizio P42HDTV10A with only a standby light being shown when plugged in along with the audible click of a relay when its initially plugged in. I disconnected the power cable from main board to the power supply and is able to register vs and va voltage within specs when I flick the switch on the power supply from normal to Auto.. It won't register in normal position. With the cable disconnected at the main board I do get backlight present on the screen.
I suspect its probably a bad main board or possibly the logic board issue.Last edited by blee1099; 04-26-2012, 08:48 PM.
