Re: Mitsubishi Lt-46164
I too have this same exact problem. Anyone figured it out?

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
yes I have tried that. I believe the injectors are just wide open when cranking. I got a manual off the net and mi going to try to trace some of the circuits that control injectors. Maybe ill get lucky and find something. But have very little confidence that I will . Still if anyone out there that has access to a usable ECU or if someone could ship me a know working one and i could try it so i would no for sure that I need an ECU

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
So I tried that and stuck it in the car and it seems it didn't work. Car is still over fueling while cranking over. It tries to start but just cant seem to stay running. Maybe its getting flooded? Or a entire different problem. Im at my wits end rite now. What to do next.

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Sorry, I forgot he asked that. The answer is no, I replaced it back in 06 because all my research had lead me to the "bad capacitors". So i bought a rebuild ECU and it didnt fix the problem. The If anything it added more to the equation. Before I had a flat spot/chugging action at about 1/4 throttle but cleared up after you punched it. Now it wont run at all and is over fueling. Fuel injectors stay on constantly while cranking. Mechanic traced everything back to an open ground somewhere in ECU. So that's where im...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
When I ordered from Digikey I got extras of these Electrolyte Caps ............ 1uf50v......47uf50v.......47uf16v....47uf50......100uf25v....22uf50v.....4.7uf50v
Will any of these work? Id rather use these because they are far superior to the RS ones in my opinion. These are all aluminum 20% radial

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Its ok if the body is bigger, there is plenty of room to attach it. So will the ceramic 0.1 50v work for the brown one? or should I just use the one I took of SRS ECU? And will the polymer 22uf work? or does it have to be Tantalum?

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Just to try it out I went to Radio Shack and all they had was some 0.1 up ceramic dick capacitors 50WVC maximum Like I mentioned before I am a novice and still don't understand all the differences between Tantalum, Aluminum, Electrolytic, Polymer ect. They had some Polymer 22uf but were 35v. How do you check SMD capacitors? I took some off that SRS ECU that I had laying around and put an ohm meter to them and they all showed nothing. I think I read somewhere that a capacitance meter is what I need. I bought that one from...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Ya they claim they are. I dint know who I was buying from i guess, this was back in 06. I have searched a bunch on this topic on the net and found allot of people encountered the same thing. What these hack company's do is pop open the cases, look for the leaking capacitors and only replace those, like mine had 2 that had been replaced and 2 that were the factory mitsubishi caps. I could tell because it looked like a 5 year old soldered it and the solder barely stuck to the board. When I heated the solder up to de-solder...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Here it is, its a pic from my phone so its not that great. Hopefully you can see what they did in the pic. Again, this is not my doing.......The company that did this is called Auto Computer Exchange in Hollywood Florida. but the sticker on the casing said it was rebuilt by an independent re-builder and had 1-877-489-4659. I called them and told them what I found but sense its out of the 1 year warranty they wouldn't do a thing except charge me 50 bucks to take a look at it. Yeah right, they can kiss my A$$ What craftsmanship...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
The problem is my ECU does not have these capacitors on it. The pic is one off the internet that I found that matches mine. My ECU was rebuilt by some hack company in Florida back in 06 and I bought this ECU from them back then trying to diagnose a problem. Long story short I lost interest and recently took it to my mechanic to find out the problem and it turns out there's an open ground circuit inside the ECU. So I opened it up and decided to replace capacitors that usually leak. They only...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
I had an old computer that controlled the SRS system on the car and found one of the small reddish brown capacitors like the one in this pic. Being that it was made the same time as this board and by Mitsubishi would it be ok to assume that using the same size as are on my ECU that they would have the same value? From the research I have done I found that if they measure the same across and width in MM and were the same color code I.E reddish/brown that they most likely are the same value. And also i know for sure that they...

Re: Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
yeah i tried but no luck. allot of things came up but maybe i had the wrong search criteria. The Mitsubishi number on the board is E331B991B. Thanks for the info, but by looking at them there is no way to identify their ratings? Or something that would get me close enough that it wouldn't effect the performance?

Need your help Identifying these capacitors/resistors
Hello all, I am new to this forum and my Google searches lead me here. My name is Jeremy and I am repairing some bad caps on a 91 Mitsubishi 3000 GT ECU. I started working on this ECU because the notorious caps on these boards went out on me and leaked onto its neighboring components. So I need to replace two resistors/capacitors in these two pics that I found on the internet of my same exact ECU. Mine were corroded beyond repair. The first pic is the reddish brown little rectangle chip with two silver ends and no markings, and has C35in white ink next to it on the circuit board. The second is...
