• Re: Vizio E472VL Dead Set / No Standby Voltage

Hello budm,

The television is working fine now. I will fill you in on what happened. I know now its important to give the complete history when posting!

When I first received the TV it appeared dead. No orange Vizio logo on the front of the TV. Opened the rear and checked the fuses first. Then measured the voltages at the connector going to the mainboard with all boards still connected.

Pin 1 Dim - 0V
Pin 2 Status - 0V
Pin 3 On/Off - 0V
Pin 4 Standby - 0V

• Vizio E472VL No 5v Standby

Hello All,

Have a Vizio E472VL that when I first received appeared dead. Gained access to the boards and verified fuses on the power board. Both T4A and T5A are good. Continuity good and voltage on both sides

Checked voltages on the cold side output connector to the main board. The readings are with the connector to the main board removed.

Pin 1 Dim - 0V
Pin 2 Status - 0V
Pin 3 On/Off - 0V
Pin 4 Standby - 0V
Pin 5 +12 - 0V
Pin 6 +12 - 0V
Pin 7 +12 - 0V
Pin 8 9 10 & 11 Gnd
Pin 12 +5 - Not Steady...

• Re: Samsung 50" Plasma HPT5044 No Picture

I have seen your scope. I watched your youtube video where you were setting the trigger for the Y-Sustain. Thanks again...I have not tried adjusting the YFr yet. I have ordered a set of buffers and should arrive some time late next week. In the meantime I am going to do some more continuity checking. The Vscan is supposed to be -180. I am seeing -4.

• Re: Samsung 50" Plasma HPT5044 No Picture

Tom,

I actually changed them both. Only one was failed. The failed one was grouped with the upper heat sink fets part# RJH3047. Only one of these fets were shorted but changed them all. The lower heat sink had two 88N30W fets and B20NK50K shorted. Changed all of them. The lower heat sink stays cold to the touch. I am wondering if there still may be an issue with the Y-Main.

The scope is my baby...goes everywhere with me!

• Re: Samsung 50" Plasma HPT5044 No Picture

Hello All,

I have this exact model with the exact symptoms. I found a few fets that were shorted on both the bottom and top heat sinks. I replaced all the fets on both heat sinks Q5100-Q5103, Q5200, Q5500, Q5302-Q5304 and the surface mounted fet Q5501. I checked all other components surrounding the above mentioned fets and didn't find any failures.

Fuse 5702 on the Y-Main was blown and was replaced. Two upper buffer board IC's blown. Lower buffer board checked out ok with DMM. Removed and replaced both...

• Re: Dell E207WFPc Vertical Lines

Sorry typo on my part..it's u302. I was verifying voltages as per post from PlainBill below.

https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17419&highlight=e207wfpc&page=4

Not sure which pin is which but

Top left is 3.03v
Top Right is 0v
Bottom is 4.97v

The number on the IC is 691D6. Not having any luck identifying it.

Thanks,Re: Dell E207WFPc Vertical Lines<br ...es as per post...

Measured both regulators on the Panel board.

J293 9177-18
Pin 1 - 0
Pin 2 - 1.81
Pin 3 - 3.28

J293 9177-33
Pin 1 - 0
Pin 2 - 3.29
Pin 3 - 4.77

Just do not know enough about panel boards at this time to know what else to look for.

Thanks,

Chuck

• Dell E207WFPc Vertical Lines

Hello All,

First post great forum!!

Please see attached. I have two of these Dell E207WFPc's that are doing the same thing. I have searched this forum for related symptoms with no luck. Was hoping someone can look at picture and point me in the right direction. Have all test equipment at my disposal if needed.

Thanks,

Update: All voltages from the power supply look normal. Verified all voltages on regulators of the video board. Not sure what the voltages are supposed to be leaving the video board to the panel. Removed and re-soldered...
