It's been that way for years. Long ago you could have gotten halfway decent units like CM Real Power's for that much, which were miles ahead of generic units.

I got a few old Topower's I'm now using as doorstop. I could re-cap, replace the fan and hell, even the transformer seems shoddy. But why bother? Today $50 can get you a SF Golden Green 450 unit which blows away many other PSU's that it just seems pointless to bother with crap units.



Could be aged, or yeah, overrated. CapXon's are a notch below...

RLS (brown ones) are good caps. FSP used them in the ProXStream 1000 and they've shown to be sufficiently reliable and decent.

RSX (blue ones) are junk though, they caused the failures of many Topower units.

If you can, replace them all with RLS. If not, don't mix the two as it'd make things worse. In that case, get rid of them all as he pointed out....

That doesn't look good. It was probably regulating badly when those Fuhjyyu's went bad, and died after the second failure. It's an old PSU, just get a new one.Re: HELP.......!!! Antec Truepower 2...ter the second
