Hey guys, I have an Asus gaming laptop. It arrived with a short circuit on the 20V rail due to a failed attempt to restore the backlight. I resolved the short circuit, but when I connected the charger, the laptop wouldn't turn on. I also noticed overheating on the 3V and 5V power supplies. After a few hours of diagnostics, I identified the faulty component: the IT8308FN GPIO expander. This component was damaged and caused a short circuit on the 3V LDO rail, causing the power supply to overheat due to the overcurrent.

My question is: is this IC reprogrammable, or do I just need to...
