just to update we got this on his scope and it checked out ok, putting it back on with the excess solder removed and it works fine now so was probably just the solder blob causing issues. -
HI, what are you using to read/write the bios?
I am trying to flash a suspected corrupt bios on a 3060 micro with a CH341A and can't even read the chip, I used this programmer to reflash some x99 motherboards with no issue recently.
I am using an SOP16 to DIP8 clip and I have tried with JP1 on the motherboard in the standard position and the service position with the same result....Leave a comment:

certaUPS C200 1000va UPS won't run on batteries
I have come into possession of 2 certaUPS C200's and one works flawlessly but with slightly shorter battery life which will get sorted at some point but the other one turns on fine with mains power but lasts only a couple of seconds once the power is turned off even with no load connected, I have swapped over the batteries between the units which makes no difference to either unit so I'm happily that both battery sets are equally fine, inspecting the PCB of the defective unit I see no heat spots, bulging caps, cracked chips, blown fuses etc but what it does have is what I believe to be a failed... -
Hi, UK electrician here with an interest in repairing things rather just throwing them away and making good of what others discard, basically I'm a womble.
