Indeed, all the caps on the chipset show a short to ground. Unfortunately, I can't check whether the CPU is still intact, as I currently don't have a motherboard with the same socket available.
How can i check if the driveres are dead also?
Thanks for your answer!...

MSI Z390 MPG Gaming Plus wont start. No lights no Fans
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus - 15.2V on GPU ATX Connector, Now Board Won't Start
Hello everyone,
I was experimenting with my MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus motherboard and accidentally applied 12.5V to the GPU ATX connector. The motherboard immediately powered off, and now it won't start anymore.
The graphics card seems to be fine, so no issues there.
I've measured the voltage at JFP1, and I'm getting 3.95V, as well as on the PS_OUT# pin of the SuperIO. As far as I know, these should be at 5V in standby, right?
Now my question is: where exactly do...

I have to correct my post. It was my own fault. I Did not have installed the right drivers on my test device. On my laptop (Where i Use the device normally) it works fine 😅
Thanks anyways for your answers!

Hantek 6022BE USB Port pulled out
Hello everyone,
I'm currently working on a Hantek 6022BE where the USB port and vias have been ripped off the PCB. Here are the steps I've taken so far:

Power Supply: I've tapped the power supply next to the via from the tracer.
GND: I've successfully connected the GND as well.
Data Lines: I soldered the D+ and D- lines directly to the USB controller (CY7C68013A-100AXC) at pins 17 and 18.
Now I'm wondering if I need pull-up resistors. According to my observation, the tracer goes directly from D+ and D- to the USB Port. Could that be...

The name of software is Bird BGA Reworker (i think there are more resellers out). Best thing is to contact a seller and maybe he gives you a download.
I only found it for ir6000.

Hello,
on USB VBUS i have 0 Volts. so after the ic i havent any Voltage. Only on IC input.
No short here. :/
have to reverse my measurments.
I have this chip: NCP380HMUAJAATBG
https://www.mouser.at/datasheet/2/308/1/NCP380_D-2317053.pdf
Its U4503 on Shematics.
On Input PIN 5 i Have 5Volts.
Output PIN 1 is 0V (No short to Ground),
On En PIN 4 i have 1.8V
on SIDE GRound Pin 5 I also have GND
and on Flag PIN 3 i Have 3.3V
SO i Have no Output.
The 3.3V should say me that there must...

Surface Laptop 4 no USB (Intel i5)
Hello,
After my Surface Laptop 4 was rejected by Microsoft repair due to an alleged water damage. As a result, I've decided to tackle the issue myself. Unfortunately, after a use involving a self-soldered USB board, the USB port (not USB-C, which still works) is no longer functioning.
Now, I suspect that a short circuit may have damaged something on the motherboard. I've checked for any visible damage according to the schematics but couldn't find any. So, I decided to check if there's any voltage on the Vbus. Sadly, it's reading 0V. I've traced the supply and came across the NO-MSPN-00312...
