i only get a reading when i put the red lead on the positive leg and the black lead on the negitive every other configuration gives me nothing....Leave a comment:

all the other fuses on the other boards are fine im kindda confussed with all this stuff and just want to buy a new board but dont want to burn it out.not sure wat to do....Leave a comment:

do i have to un solder each piece or can i just test it while on the board?
would it be best if i just replace the whole board with a new one?
an the caps i replaced are completely identical to the ones i took out.negative and positive are on the correct side and when i what to put power again the power board was mounted bact in the tv.Leave a comment:

lg model 50pg20ua no power at all
so my tv mad a pop noise when watching it and completely lost power.so i opend it up and noticed sum capacitors buldging with burn marks on the top so i replaced them and a fuse that had no continuity so i replaced it.put every thing back together pluged it in and the fuse i replaced pop again but the capacitors were fine. so today i replaced the fuse again and unpluged every thing from the power board and pluged it in again and the same fuse poped.the model of the power board is LPX55 and the fuse is labeld 250 VOLT T5AH.PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT....THNKS..... -

so today i went to an electronics store and bought sup caps and fuses to replace the bad ones that i noticed were bad and put them in and when i pluged it in i heard a click noise and still have no power. so i checked the fuses i replaced and foud that one of them popd again.its located on the power board and is labeled 250 VOLT T5AH MODLE NUMBER OF THE POWER BOARD IS LPX55.sorry for the pics now im looking for the cable to charge my camera.Last edited by daryck88; 03-20-2012, 09:45 PM.Leave a comment:

im an electrican so i have an electrical tester a fluke t5-600 i know it lets you test continuity but to see if fuses are good but not sure how to check ohomsLeave a comment:

im not too good at uploading pics on the computer and posting them but if i can have some one i know help me i will asap.but for the tv ive already opened it and looked it over the only problems i see are the blown and buldging caps. on the power board every thing else looks and smells fine....Leave a comment:

well i was thinking about just replacing the whole board because i dont have a soldering gun or a mulitmeter im an electrican and all i have is an electrical tester. i was just wondering if this board was where the problem is at or if sumthing else made this board blow the capacitors.the model number on the board is lpx55 and the writting on the capacitors says samwwa wb

hey im new here and in need of sum help i have this tv and when i turnd it on the other day heard a pop noise and now it wont come on at all.so i opend it but am not to familiar with it and found a power supply board with not sure of the name but they look cylinder things bulging and sum have black marks not sure if this could be the problem though.if any one knows please help thanks....
