• Hi Vesko356 Thanks for pointing this out. As a new member I am struggling a little on this whole BIOS process and not entirely sure where to post. I see from your comment that I should post in a related thread. Would you consider this to be a related thread to post the request for a BIOS for my Lenovo E15 Model 20RD? It looks like it is given the Subject Title includes my model & PN. So, creating a new thread for the same thing was wrong, apologies. I will post here again with the BIOS I read from the unsoldered chip, my initial request was a copy of the BIOS...

  • Please ignore my request above (I can not see how to edit or delete it?), I have started a new thread requesting this with the data file being provided as read from the unsoldered chip and not a link cable.

  • My Lenovo E15 20RD Thinkpad E15 FE4A0/FE5A0 NM-C421 20RD0011AU S/N PF-1C55RN 20/01 is password locked.

I have been able to read the Winbond 25Q128JVSSQ chip using my EZP2023+ set to to Winbond 25Q128. I am reading the chip in circuit via clip/cable and wonder if this is ok to read/write in circuit or whether I have to unsolder it.

I have attched my BIN file here. Would anyone please be able to provide a new bios file for this laptop, TIA ...

  • Vesko356Vesko356 really appreciate it thanks! I note the chip is a Winbond 25Q128JVSQ

MY EZP2023+ programmer does not list Winbond chips, is there a compatible chip I would set it up for or do I need a new programmer?

  • Hello people, I am just starting the journey of eeprom programming mainly to change motorbike speedo odometers for bikes I work on. I am also trying to figure out how to read and write a bios chip for a Lenovo E15 Gen 1 20RD laptop. I have a EZP2023+ programmer and software running on a Win 11 thinkpad. I have been able to read and write odo's on Yamaha MT07 bikes so far using an 8 pin clip on the 93C86 chip.

I studied as an electronics tech some 40 years ago, finished the training then went into IT and have forgotten most of what I learned but the basics are there I look forward...
