Re: SAMSUNG led un32eh4003f Plays melody No picture & led blink
You could try contacting shop-jimmy to see when they estimate stock returning....
I kept my old strips - not knowing if one strip is still good....

I paid the extra $4 for 2 day shipping.... I figured it was worth it to not have the tv apart in my office any longer than needed.
Tom, I was smart, I am keeping the old strips too. I am figuring only one strip was bad, and if it happens again, its likely to only be one... guessing maybe I can swap strips around to find the good ones at a future date if needed!

Ok, I dont have an easy method for testing each LED. I am not even sure how easy it is to get to each individual LED.
Talking with a friend of mine today telling him of my project.... He suggested I try using an ammeter from D+ to D-
He said this should show me a constant current essentially replacing the LED strips as far as the power supply is concerned.
So... I tried that. I got a flicker on the meter briefly, but it went back to 0.
Using his concept, it would...

Re: SAMSUNG led un32eh4003f Plays melody No picture & led blink
I tried to illustrate it above - but I will see if I can explain better.
D+
S- these go to one strip
D-
S+ these go to the second strip
My theory is, the D+ and D- are the outside end of the 'strip' complete, While the S+ and S- are essentially a loop to connect the strips in series.
Thus making the voltage flow out of D+ through the top LED strip, back in S-, then out S+ through the other LED strip, and back in D- to the final power supply...

This is the replacement strip

From what I can see, there is no dark brown. The one post above talks like the are prone to shorting out?
I need to rip it apart more to get to the back side of the LED strips. But from what I can see here, they are not burnt.
If we are 75% sure its the LED strips, I can just get new ones coming.Re: SAMSUNG led un32eh4003f Plays melody No picture

Found the LED strips! and I am into them as well.
So based on what you are saying, i should buy new LED strings. Its interesting, as they are 2 strips; a pair of wires for each.
I guess worst case, I need the LED's and the power supply both?
Looking at this - does the power flow go D+ -> LED1 -> S- -> S+ -> LED2 -> D-
Its the only explanation I can come up with, that would, that provides how both strips are out - unless the PS is dead.

Re: SAMSUNG led un32eh4003f Plays melody No picture & led blink
I just picked up this exact tv... It was given to me, with this same problem.
Here is what i have learned so far.
With a flashlight, display is working. Essentially there is no backlight.
I dont see anything wrong with the capacitors, and I have no clue where I can check for voltage.
Looking for direction......
