  • Before you inform me that this has been provided in an archived post, that previously posted Bios, for a 5735Z, shows only about 20% identity with the bios currently on my chip. The chip is an MX25L1605, winbond, by Macronix. 3.3V. Size 2,097,152 bytes. This bios is no longer available on the Acer website. I tried the 5740 bios that has been posted on badcaps, but it does not work and shows minimal identity. Thanks a bunch if you can provide a working version for this laptop.

  • I am a fledgling electronics repair person with a history in bioscience. I've taken it up as a hobby/side gig in my retirement. I know just enough to be dangerous to circuit boards. What I don't know fills volumes, literally....

  • VBOX sport data tracker schematic

    I am repairing a VBOX Sport mobile data tracker with GPS and bluetooth. The USB charging port was ripped off the circuit board and a component was knocked off at the same time. I suspect a bi-directional TVS diode is the component but am not sure. Inspection of a second unit with a ripped off port but intact component reveals a surface mount micro-component that is black and has two bands on it in light gold. One at either end of the component. The component is similar to a resistor, a capacitor, or a smaller inductor in size and appearance. I am hoping for a circuit diagram for the unit to ID...
