OK, solved! bought another exactly one dump the bios and changed the S/N reflash the 1.8v SPI EEprom and it's bootup working.

Sorry it is no working the 4 square windows logo stay about 5 seconds then turns off automatically. tried go to enter the bios setup---no tried go to recovery mode---no only shut off after 5 seconds.

Hi all I have surface laptop 3 model 1868 i7/16G/512G SSD. it stuck in 4 white square windows logo not go further anymore. I think was windows firmware update automatically going and went out the battery in the middle caused bios corrupt. it can not go recovery mode neither go in to bios setup mode just stuck on windows logo for couples days only on keyboard function is press and hold the power button it can be turn off.
opened the case found "winbond 25R128JWPQ" ic chip I think this is the bios chip and after research...Leave a comment:

A1706 820-00239 u3100 #52 solder pad lost
Try to Replace U3100 (CD3215C00 chip) it was pad #62 ppbus_g3hot short to Ground (CB300 take out still short) after remove off the U3100 "short" disappear.
But for maybe temperature not enough high I found the solder pad #6 #50 #52 was lost and the #6 and #50 are GND I don't care but the #52 shows
"NC_USBC_XA_RESET_L" and I want to see where this point to go or come but the board view shows no-where to go or come.

Hope you guys can help me: I bought same 820-01598 board from eBay (less than $200) try to replace that "eDP output of the CPU is dead" board but the board I bought had !"activation lock"! on it. my question is Can I just swap the SPI EEprom (U4770) to removal the "Activation lock"???
this board locked everything can not boot from external USB drive (secured not allowed) and tried to erase inner volume to reinstall and next boot up still there can not go in security manage utility to enable external drive boot....Leave a comment:

For Mon2 yes it works on External Monitor.
Still I want to know if the "EDP_AUXCH_N" is power line or it's data signal line? can it be use "EDP_AUXCH_P" emulate add to eDP LCD? or it is feedback signal from LCD to CPU and let CPU know the LCD status then CPU will activated video functions or others etc...
Other thing I confirm the water damaged eDP LCD screen is good After cleaned LVDS EDP Display FPC Connector the connector was burned pin#43 and pin#1 became black color. and after cleaned I use A1706(820-00923-a)...Leave a comment:

Diode mode 0.001 and 0.064v or 64mV on that pin#1. are there any way to rescue ? I am not able to replace the cpu or take it off to check if it is cpu dead or PCB board short.
and is that "EDP_AUXCH_N" a power supply point or it's some data signal to activate the screen? can we use "EDP_AUXCH_P"--Pin #3(0.9V and 0.129 diode mode-- measured) to emulate it ?----sure need to cut cpu to pin #1 the trace first.
for all your experts do you think to do this will damage more the cpu or screen I don't know how risky it will be...Leave a comment:

Macbook ProA2159 with board 820-01598 with black screen. was water damage. Measured lcd connector J8500 and find pin #1 (EDP_AUXCH_N) short to ground 2 ohm. Looks like it goes to U0500(CPU) directly . Is it anything to do? Starts fine and all, just no image...Last edited by liteott; 04-15-2021, 01:00 PM. -

I think you both(Peste and asem18) did it are good, Because after flashed the "asem18" made still same shows "this computer is disabled" then I thought may be something I did wrong why two made came out same results. So, I think maybe the original internal drive forcefully disabled when boot up. then I try to use a USB external drive to boot up and it works perfectly. and then I backup the original data use clone utility to re-fresh internal drive and done!!!
