my 32 LG LED TV was working this morning. While I was watching it there was a high pitched noise over the speakers and then it went dead. No standby light or anything.

I've taken the cover off to visually inspect the power supply. Caps look OK but the larger of the two copper coils looks to have burnt out (see attached photos). This corresponds with a burn mark on the back cover (also in the photos).

Confirmed that I have 240 into the board and no DC out.

I've fixed a few monitors over the years using the advise from badcaps.net so I'm hoping for some...

Hi - been lurking on the forum for a while now learning all the time. Managed to fix five monitors for myself, friends and family through following the good advice.
