No I haven't made any progress. I found the datasheet for the familiar of Samsung chips that is listed as the 16gb variant in the schematic, and they have a 32gb part number, so it's possible that it is the same, but you never know.
Maybe if I had a better understanding I could just pick the right DDR4 chip by filtering through specs, but I am not equipped with that knowledge.
I might just do the 16gb upgrade honestly....

Thinkpad X390 Ram Upgrade
Hi there,
I'm planning on performing a Ram upgrade for my X390 and I have the boardview and schematics. To my understanding, there was a X390 configuration sold with 32GB and I'd really like to upgrade to that, but the schematics I have only list the memory chips for the 8GB and 16GB variants. I assume the schematic I have is a first revision, while the 32gb config came out later on in the products lifespan, as there is no reference of it anywhere in my schematic. Only the 8 and 16.
Maybe someone with a 32GB motherboard could read off the IC part number?

Hello!
I'm new to the badcaps forum, but I've had a general interest in computers and electronics ever since I was a teenager. I have some experience soldering QFPs and other first generation SMD components, but I hope to gain more experience in BGA stenciling and soldering more recent SMD packages.
I'm from Toronto, Ontario.
