Re: Antec Smart Power 400w successfully repaired

So what is the big difference between the 85C and the 105C ? I was assuming it was the maximum temperature they could handle. These caps are only controlling a +5v i think they are located near where the green wire comes in from the motherboard connector. Now the pc turns on like normal so I assume these controlled something with turning it on.

I just wanted to share my experience about the problems I was having with my computer.

First of all here are my pc specs:
P4 2.8c
Asus P4P800 (Motherboard)
1gig ram
1 Sata Raptor HD
1 Sata 250 gig drive
1 EIDE 60 gig drive
2 cd/dvd roms
Creative Audigy sound card
Ati Tv tuner
Nvida 7800GS Agp
And of course the Antec 400w PSU

Ok as you can see this is about a midrange pc or so for todays standards. The problems I was experiencing was random crashing and rebooting. Never had a set pattern...
