Re: insignia ns-l42q-10a White Layer on Picture
Necro bump. I forgot to update that I installed a new AS15-HF chip, and the TV was fine. Thanks for the info.

Re: insignia ns-l42q-10a White Layer on Picture
Bumping this... my coworker's TV is having washed out and color issues, same model as in the title, and I suspect it's the same AS15-HF chip. I'm going to order a couple off of eBay tonight, and once I've got them and installed, I'll report back if that was the solution.

Re: Fix for the Vizio VW26L power supply good but tv unresponsive
Well, I haven't pulled the heatsink back off to modify it yet, but I've been using the TV to test it out, and it's started having an issue with horizontal lines and the image not being correct... the image will move up or down or become "smushed." I don't know if this is due to the processor/heatsink issue, or another problem that needs diagnosed. I won't have time until later this week to modify the heatsink and seal it all up, so I'll report back then.

Well, I wanted to give back a little.
I recently picked up a Vizio VW26L...I don't know the history of the tv, as the guy I bought it off wasn't the original owner, he bought it to broke himself intending to fix it... sympton was the tv was completely unresponsive when plugged in, not even standby lights.
I opened the TV up,...
